WITH THE RECENT TREND OF RINGTONE BEATS AND BUBBLE GUM LYRICS IN HIP HOP I FELT THE NEED TO CREATE A BLOG DEDICATED TO REAL HIP HOP AND THE ISSUES SURROUNDING IT. HIP HOP CULTURE IS A MAJOR INFLUENCE IN MANY PEOPLE'S LIVES, AND THAT EFFECT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE NEGATIVE. THERE IS A LOT OF HIP HOP THAT NEEDS TO BE HEARD, BUT UNFORTUNATELY MAINSTREAM MEDIA HAS TURNED THE MUSIC I LOVE INTO POP. If you arent familiar with Wale, he is outta D.C. and just recently signed with Interscope. To my knowledge he is the only Nigerian born rapper (maybe ever). But if you don't know Wale check out 100 miles and runnin mixtape...shit is fire...if ya dont know now ya know! Wale is also getting ready to drop his much anticipated mixtape, The Mixtape About Nothing, which I cant wait for this mixtape to and I will definitely keep yall posted.

ALBUM RATINGS

10 - Straight Classic. Probably ten albums alltime I would put in this category.
9 - Great Album - This is probably as high as it will get (until Detox finally drops)
8 - Solid album - Solid all the way thru with a few great tracks
7 - Good Album - Solid all the way thru, not to many stand out tracks
6 - Decent - Worth a listen, but I wouldn't pay for it
5 - Average Album - Ahh unless you're a huge fan of the artist you should probably skip this album
4 - Don't Bother. A few decent tracks, but overall weak.
3 - Why did even waste my time writing this review?
2 - Nope.
1 - Soulja Boy Status-'nuff said.
