WITH THE RECENT TREND OF RINGTONE BEATS AND BUBBLE GUM LYRICS IN HIP HOP I FELT THE NEED TO CREATE A BLOG DEDICATED TO REAL HIP HOP AND THE ISSUES SURROUNDING IT. HIP HOP CULTURE IS A MAJOR INFLUENCE IN MANY PEOPLE'S LIVES, AND THAT EFFECT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE NEGATIVE. THERE IS A LOT OF HIP HOP THAT NEEDS TO BE HEARD, BUT UNFORTUNATELY MAINSTREAM MEDIA HAS TURNED THE MUSIC I LOVE INTO POP. - 10 - Straight Classic. Probably ten albums alltime I would put in this category.
- 9 - Great Album - This is probably as high as it will get (until Detox finally drops)
- 8 - Solid album - Solid all the way thru with a few great tracks
- 7 - Good Album - Solid all the way thru, not to many stand out tracks
- 6 - Decent - Worth a listen, but I wouldn't pay for it
- 5 - Average Album - Ahh unless you're a huge fan of the artist you should probably skip this album
- 4 - Don't Bother. A few decent tracks, but overall weak.
- 3 - Why did even waste my time writing this review?
- 2 - Nope.
- 1 - Soulja Boy Status-'nuff said.
